2nd July

  • Inauguration of the Point Relais Emploi, located in the "Domaine des Molières" building, in the continuation of the Syndicat Mixte d'Equipement administrative offices.

18th March

  • Yves VIDAL, Mayor of Grans, 4th Vice-chairman of Ouest Provence, becomes the new Chairman of the Syndicat Mixte d'Equipement Euro-Alpilles.

2002

4th October

  • Inauguration of 3rd Prologis building and laying of foundation stone of the 4th warehouse.

9th July

  • Inauguration of the administrative offices of the SME Euro Alpilles, installed on the site within a beautiful 18th century building, from which will develop the nerve centre of the hub
  • Foundation stone of the T.N.T. Logistics France warehous laid
  • Creation of « Clesud Association », which brings together the owner and user companies of the hub

January

  • Creation of Epad Ouest Provence (A public development organisation) responsible for the continuing development and the marketing of Clesud, replacing Epareb (A public development organisation) which was disbanded by the State on 1st January 2002.

2001

6th July

  • Inauguration of the Distripôle park (Logistis)

May

  • Delivery of its second warehouse to the company REXEL / AGEI

27th April

  • Pierre Carlin, Chairman of the SAN and Mayor of Miramas becomes the new Chairman of the Syndicat Mixte d'Equipement (SME), beside Yves Vidal, Mayor of Grans, 1st vice-chairman - Jacques Truau, vice-chairman of the Marseille-Provence Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 2nd vice-chairman - François Bernardini, Mayor of Istres, 3rd vice-chairman.

  • Start of construction work of the first building of the Distripôle park (Logistis)

January

  • Delivery of the first warehouse to the company Nortene

2000

October

  • Start of the second wave of infrastructure works, involving connections to the drainage networks and the provision of drinking waterements aux réseaux assainissement, eaux usées et adduction d'eau potable.

July

  • Completion of the pumping station for the fire and irrigation network.

22nd June

  • Official inauguration Clesud, in the presence of Claude Cardella, Chairman of the Marseille-Provence CCI, Bernard Granié, Chairman of the SAN and the SME, Georges Thorrand, Mayor of Miramas, Yves Vidal, Mayor of Grans, François Bernardini, Director General of the SAN.

  • Start of the first wave of infrastructure works (finished in July 2000) and granting of first building permit.

  • Creation of the Syndicat Mixte d'Equipement Euro Alpilles (S.M.E), contracting authority of Clesud, constituted by the Syndicat d'Agglomération Nouvelle du Nord Ouest de l'Etang de Berre (S.A.N.), the General Council, the town of Grans and the Marseille-Provence Chamber of Commerec and Industry (CCIMP).   • Officialisation of the choice of site on the territory of the towns
    of Miramas and Grans

  • Launch of feasibility studies.
  • Selection of the zone of West Marseille by the D.A.T.A.R. in the framework of the White Paper on the national guide of multi-modal logistics hubs.
  • Choice in principle of the creation of a multi-modal logistics hub in the Bouches du Rhône and the definition of its concept by the Marseille-Provence Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the framework of its development project entitled «2001-Marseille Provence Méditerranée du Monde».
